Places I’d like to visit & things I’d like to do

Important note: Just like every other plan regarding travels I’ve made throughout my life, this is merely a wishlist, a brainstormed compilation of places I NOW think that I will want to see (and make Mr A wanting to see them too). However, this is not a compulsory itinerary and we’ll quite likely end up not seeing half of the places for going somewhere else or simply enjoying a few days “off”.

In Bangkok

• Wat Pho
• Wat Phra Kaew
• Imperial Palace
• Haggle at Chatuchak Weekend Market
• Do a Dinner Cruise (we have one planned for Christmas Eve)
• Sip cocktails at a rooftop bar (preferably Lebua Sky Bar or at Vertigo Bar) - turned out to be distil AND Sky Bar at State Tower
• Muang Boran
• Wander around Siam Paragon shopping centre
• Lumphini Park (sunset?) – no sunset but definitely worthwhile
• Wat Arun
• Walk the streets of Bangkok

Outside Bangkok

• Dive the Similans – I snorkeled
• Visit night markets (somewhere, anywhere, everywhere)
• Take a half-day trip to the Floating Market in Damnoen Saduak
• Take a cooking class
• Visit Khao Sok National Park
• Take a tour on a longtail boat – Phang Nga bay it turned out to be
• Watch a sunrise or sunset on a sandy beach – many a sunset on Khao Lak’s Bang Niang Beach

 Maybe visit

• Ayuthaya
• Kanchanaburi
• Sukhothai Historical Park           

In Cambodia

• Have a drink at Aqua in Siem Reap
• Spend a  day at Tonle Sap Lake incl. Kamphong Phlouk (flooded forest)/ boat ride / sunset at this particular temple whose name slipped my mind

Maybe visit

• Koh Ker
• Wat Athvea and Wat Preah Inkosei 
• Prek Toal (water bird sanctuary)
